We strongly recommend Sister Hua—she truly is an amazing postpartum nanny! We were very hesitant when we first started looking for a postpartum nanny, because we had seen so many bad stories online, and it was also a significant expense. But from Hua Jie’s very first day at our home, we could feel her genuine love for babies. She talks to the baby very attentively all the time, and with her professionalism in infant care, she can quickly tell what the baby needs: whether the baby is cold or hot, has pooped, or wants milk. The baby is always so comfortable in her hands. We truly feel that Hua Jie is absolutely worth it!
This is our first child, and my water broke early, so I gave birth more than two weeks before my due date. Hua Jie quickly adjusted her schedule and arrived at our home in a very timely manner. She happened to be there right when my breasts became painfully engorged and helped massage and relieve the blockage, quickly easing the pain. Moms who have gone through this kind of pain will understand what a lifesaving feeling that was!
I wanted to breastfeed but also wanted some relative freedom in my own schedule, so I chose to pump. Every day, Hua Jie patiently helped wash, dry, and sterilize the pump parts, warm the milk, and bottle-feed the baby. She also thoughtfully taught us many methods and precautions for breast milk storage, such as how to freeze extra milk when supply is high.
Hua Jie is very proactive and always does a thorough job with cleaning and tidying the house. She even carefully cleaned and deodorized the secondhand freezer we bought to store breast milk. She is both professional and warm-hearted! Every day, she also prepared three meals and snacks according to our taste preferences while still making sure they met the nutritional standards of postpartum meals. We really admire how conscientious and responsible she is, as well as her time management. Taking care of the baby at night is very tiring, yet during the day she still carefully prepares three meals, using the baby’s nap time to quickly chop and prep ingredients, then cooking and serving everything promptly at mealtime in one smooth flow.
Starting in the third week, our baby had some gas and would grunt at night and have trouble sleeping deeply. Hua Jie was very patient, holding and soothing the baby to sleep, and during the day she often did gas-relief exercises and played with the baby while helping the baby practice tummy time, which helped the baby poop successfully and feel much better. In particular, when our baby developed a rash on the parts covered by clothing, Hua Jie professionally ruled out the possibility of detergent allergy and determined that the baby was very sensitive to heat. She promptly reduced the baby’s clothing and applied lotion, and the baby’s condition improved quickly.
Another very important point is that after giving birth, my emotions fluctuated a lot. Hua Jie has a cheerful and open personality and could notice this in time, chat with me, and help me process my feelings. On top of that, her breakfasts and snacks every day were varied, beautiful, and delicious, which greatly eased my depressive mood. I’m so grateful that we met such a wonderful postpartum nanny and were able to get through the postpartum period smoothly in a foreign country without family by our side. We sincerely recommend Hua Jie and also hope everything goes well for her in the future.
