I absolutely had to come and leave Auntie Qian a heartfelt glowing review! She came to our home after I gave birth three months ago. I’ve been busy caring for the baby and getting myself adjusted during this time, and today I finally had a quiet moment—I had to write down this gratitude properly.
When we were looking for a maternity nanny, the things we valued most were professionalism and temperament. From the moment Auntie Qian arrived, she put our whole family at ease. Not only did she take such good care of the baby that the baby became chubby and healthy, but her cooking and housekeeping were also astonishing. We were incredibly lucky to have met her during my postpartum confinement period!
First, when it came to caring for the baby, Auntie Qian was absolutely detail-oriented. When the baby had days and nights reversed and suffered from gas, I was so anxious that I could not sleep. Every day, she gave the baby gas-relief exercises and massages at regular times. Her technique was especially gentle and professional. She also taught me the proper latch and how to burp the baby. Within just a few days, the baby’s routine had become much more regular. She was meticulous about diaper changes, baths, monitoring jaundice and bowel movements. At night, she was even more sensitive than I was to any movement from the baby, allowing me to sleep for several hours straight. What was most valuable was her patience—she never found anything troublesome. She could distinguish what different cries meant, and when she held the baby, it was like magic. The baby became especially attached to her.
Then there were the postpartum meals that amazed me! You can tell from the photos that they were absolutely not thrown together carelessly. Every day they were plated like works of art: orange slices arranged into a blooming flower with cherry tomatoes in the middle; steamed fish with shredded scallions and carrots; morel mushroom soup so fresh it was unbelievably delicious; as well as braised ribs and soy-braised eggs, blanched broccoli surrounded by cherry tomatoes, cucumber-and-tomato platters, multigrain porridge, purple rice, stir-fried seasonal vegetables... Three meals and three snacks a day, with no repeats. They were low in oil and salt but still looked, smelled, and tasted wonderful. When I posted them on social media, people asked whether I had hired a private chef. She said meals should be adjusted according to different stages, including lochia discharge, promoting milk production, and recovery. The soups gave me an ample milk supply without making me gain weight, and my incision healed quickly too.
Auntie Qian also really understood new mothers’ emotional needs. She helped me work through my postpartum emotions and taught the baby’s father to participate in diaper changes and burping, which created a wonderful atmosphere at home. She was very clean as well, keeping the baby’s clothes and nursing cloths disinfected, dried, and fresh.
Three months have passed. The baby is growing very well, and I have recovered quite well too. Looking back, I am so glad we chose Auntie Qian. She is someone who truly loves children, understands nutrition, and knows how to make life better. I recommend her to every expectant mother—choosing her would absolutely be the best choice!
