Auntie Li has been with us for the last 4 months to care for our second baby and we are so sad that she is moving onto her next family! After 4 months together, having gone through a few nannies already for my older daughter, I can safely say that she is the best nanny we've ever had. She is knowledgeable and confident, but respects our preferences and takes feedback well. She's also incredibly patient and kind with our baby and genuinely cares for her.
Since day 1 she's been so thoughtful about making sure I (mom) was taken care of. She loves making food and it shows! She's basically like a private chef and continued to wow us with what she could make - her cooking is creative, not tied to a specific type of cuisine or taste preference, and it's been awesome for me personally as a foodie. Furthermore, my older one is 4 and in that stage where she's super picky about food, and Auntie has been so kind to rotate through all types of kid-friendly food to figure out what she likes.
She is always looking to be helpful and that is incredibly appreciated. She's not the type where we have to ask her to do everything - she's basically always thinking one step ahead of us. As an example, once we tell her the baby needs to go see the pediatrician for shots tomorrow, she'll have the baby be fed, burped, ready to go with a change of clothes, diaper and milk, when we're rushing out the door. Likewise we went on a quick vacation towards the end, and she packed everything for the baby without being asked, including toys and stuff that we didn't even consider!
Also arguably most importantly, she is amazing at sleep training! This was one of our biggest goals for getting a confinement nanny as we tried sleep training my older daughter ourselves (we didn't do so well). Auntie Li is leaving us a 4 month old who takes her last bottle at 9:30pm and first one after 7:30am, sleeping through the night. It literally doesn't get any better than that.
Long story short, we love her and would highly recommend her to any family!!
