The postpartum doula services (primarily overnight care) provided by Danelle were an absolute blessing to our home. Not having family in the area meant we have an extremely limited village of support, but Danelle was able to fill void. It is a bit weird having what is effectively a stranger enter your home during one of the most vulnerable times of your life and entrusting them with your precious newborn. But Danelle was always professional, kind, caring, and supportive. Her support with some household tasks like diaper trash and baby laundry took items off our to-do list. And her years of knowledge about things like diapers, baby carriers, and babies in general were incredibly helpful as we were both new to being around babies and how to care for them. Most importantly, her support allowed both of us to sleep as much as possible. Dad was able to get full nights of sleep while Danelle was caring for the baby, and Mom was able to sleep as much as possible between waking up for breastfeeding overnight. Danelle was also very sweet with our dog, who was learning to be a new big sister. Our dog was admitedly recieving less attention than usual as the household got a huge change with the addition of our baby, but Danelle was able to provide our pup with some much needed extra cuddles and scritches.  Overall, I honestly think we would have struggled the first several weeks of being new parents without support from Danelle. The lack of sleep alone would have been difficult, then trying to learn how to care for newborn and learn his cues and personality would have been an extremely difficult task. Danelle gave us the opportunity to get as much sleep as we possibly could and was a bit of a baby-translator for us and helped us learn our baby. If you are looking for a doula, and especially if you have a dog, I highly recommend Danelle.

Danelle helped us so much with our little one. She was kind, knowledgeable and caring. She went above and beyond with answering our questions and sharing tips on how we could manage our baby's reflux. She even helped me with breastfeeding! We loved having her in our home and recommend her highly to anyone who seeks doula support.
