Ten months ago, one of my dreams came true when I successfully delivered my second child through an unmedicated VBAC. I am writing to express my deepest gratitude because this would not have been possible without you, Alysha.
Reflecting on my pregnancy, I realized how essential it is to have additional support, patience, and genuine understanding from someone outside of family and friends. Hiring you as my doula was one of the best decisions I have ever made. From our first meeting, I had a gut feeling that you were the right person to help our journey go smoothly.
Throughout our sessions, the long hours of labor, the delivery, and the postpartum visit, you were consistently kind, professional, and knowledgeable. I am especially grateful that you came to my home late at night when my labor intensified, assisted us with the hospital check-in, and stayed by my side throughout the night so my husband could rest. Thank you also for ensuring that the midwives and nurses remained aligned with my birth plan. Your presence and advocacy made a significant difference for us. This experience left me feeling incredibly empowered, and you are someone our family will never forget.
Please accept my apologies for the delay in writing this; it took me ten months to finally sit down and put my thoughts and feelings into words. You deserve a glowing review, and I will certainly be recommending you to anyone looking for a doula in the St. Louis area.

Alysha has been my doula 2 times now, most recently for my twins! She is so helpful with pre-labor information and helping get prepped for birth. She took the time to understand and remember my birth plan so she could assist me in advocating for myself. During my labor Alysha was such a calming presence and helped facilitate the atmosphere of my labor space. She was encouraging and reassuring even during the difficult parts of labor. Alysha is a pro at hands on pain management, her hip squeezes honestly made the contractions easier to bear! She is generous with her time and knowledge. Alysha has been a very big blessing to my family multiple times and I will always recommend her to any woman preparing to give birth.

It was amazing to have Alysha support me throughout my pregnancy and birth. Her prenatal visits helped my husband and I feel more confident about what to expect during the birth, and when it came time to join us at the hospital, Alysha jumped straight into action and was by my side the entire time. She was fabulous in working with the nurses and my OBGYN too! I'd absolutely work with Alysha again and recommend her to anyone looking for additional support during this important time.

Alysha is worth her weight in gold. She truly made all the difference in me and my husband having a positive birth experience. Alysha has an incredible depth and breadth of knowledge when it comes to pregnancy and labor. She answered many of my questions, but was also comfortable telling me that everyone’s birth experience is different so it’s not a true science. She has a library of birthing books that you can rent from. She also knows many people in the area from pediatricians to pelvic floor therapists.
My birth (first time mama) went extremely fast and did not at all follow the traditional labor track. She encouraged us to follow our gut and head to the hospital. Contractions never got longer, but definitely intensified. Baby girl was in the wrong position, so Alysha used her expertise to put me in a different position on the peanut ball. My baby flipped to my left side and was here within the hour! After my bleeding slowed down, she went home so we could have bonding time with our little one. Alysha also took my placenta home and coordinated drop off with my mom. This was so incredibly important to me and she made it happen even with the hospital time crunch.
Alysha is so kind and knowledgeable. It’s important to her that you have a positive experience and address your fears around birth. She is also present to help you process the birth after the fact. If you’re considering Alysha for your birth, I would highly recommend her.

I am so thankful Alysha was my doula for my unmedicated birth! She was there from the beginning to help with my birth plan. She went above and beyond all my expectations and helped me achieve the birth that I prayed for! My husband was so impressed with how helpful she was during labor! I highly recommend her for any mom wanting a doula to be by her side! I went 10 days past my due date, and her encouragement prior to labor was amazing to have, too. She was prepared to help me throughout all my contractions (she does a good hip squeeze!) and was there with bobby pins to pin my sweaty hair away from me as I pushed! I felt so comfortable with her and plan to use her for all future labors!

If you are looking for a birth doula we highly recommend Alysha!
Funny story Alysha wasn't our original doula or our 2nd doula but our 3rd out of 4 doulas we had during our LONG labor. She was the one that we got to spend the most time with! (Crazy story when everyone is having long labors and these angels of doulas need some rest too!) God knew exactly what he was doing when he allowed Alysha to be apart of our journey. Although we've never met, she was a perfect fit for us!
She led me through Spinning Babies techniques helped me stay calm and relaxed while listening to my Hypnobabies tracks, provided so much encouragement, support, guidance, and words of affirmation to help me get through the many tiring hours of labor. I will always be grateful for her hip squeezes, helping labor in the tub and shower, ugh such good relief!
She helped me make some hard decisions when my birth plan started to fall apart and not go as planned (our baby was not coming out the easy way). We were sad to see her go but thankful for the time and dedication she made for us, bonus clients of hers, (after 25 hours with us I believe she deserved a nap)!
I will forever cherish the labor and birth timeline she kept for us, it is definitely helpful for me to remember what all happened as I was so sleep deprived and in deep hypnosis the whole time. We are forever grateful for Alysha and will forever cherish the time we had with her! -Amber Mayfield ??????

I have had two amazing births with Alysha as my doula. I never thought I would be someone to have a doula, but after having such a positive birth experience with my first son and her be by my side and the support she was to me and my husband, there was no doubt in my mind to have her be apart of our second birth! She is incredibly caring, calm, thinks through what would make the environment peaceful, and just so encouraging. She gives you confidence that your body knows what to do and that you can "do this!" I feel like she was always one step ahead in suggesting what would be helpful or just giving ideas to my husband to keep me comfortable. We are so thankful for Alysha and that she got to be apart of two great births for our family!
