I had the honor and privilege of getting to have Alexis as my birth doula. She came beside me and walked with me through my whole pregnancy, patiently answering any questions or concerns I had, educating me on how to take care of my body in pregnancy and how to prepare my body and mind for labor and delivery. She came in my corner and championed me every step of the way in pregnancy and in the delivery room giving me the physical and emotional support I needed. I am fully convinced that God used her and her prayers tremendously in me having a smooth and peaceful birth experience. Josiah and I are eternally grateful for how she has served us so lovingly and willingly. I highly recommend Alexis as a birth or postpartum doula if you or someone you know is pregnant. Not only will you gain a doula- someone to come alongside you in this tender season of life, but you will gain a lifelong friend.?? Here is her business/ ministry: Wonderfully Made Doula Services

Alexis has been my doula for both of my kids' births. Each experience was totally different, and each would not have been the same without her there. While my first was an unmedicated home birth where everything progressed smoothly and went pretty much perfectly, my second was a different story. What started as an attempted home birth turned into a long and hard labor with regressions and little actual progression. After being in labor for 32 hours, I was exhausted and we opted to go to the hospital for an epidural to let my body rest. Alexis was so supportive and helped me make a lot of difficult decisions on the fly that I was able to feel good about. Going to the hospital felt so much less daunting with her there than it would have if I didn't have her. She's such a peaceful and comforting presence. We recently moved half way across the country, but if I could fly her out for the birth of our next kid I would. I cannot stress enough how helpful she is- from making sure you're hydrated enough during labor, eating if you can, and giving you tools/putting you in positions to manage the pain or help your labor progress, to walking you through difficult decisions and advocating for you when it's necessary. I couldn't say enough good about her, and being a birth doula is truly a gifting and calling of hers.

Alexis attended the birth of both of my babies and she was absolutely wonderful! She is so knowledgeable and empowered me to advocate for myself. With my second baby specifically, my water had broken but I wasn't having regular contractions. The doctor was trying to push pitocin from the moment that he stepped into the room, but Alexis was able to suggest another way to get things moving, and within minutes of requesting a breast pump, I was having strong regular contractions! I am truly so blessed to have had her with us, and I will always recommend her to my pregnant friends and family.

Alexis was my doula for my first birth to my baby girl this passed April. I was really nervous about being underprepared for labor. I didn't know much about birth or what to expect. I had a goal to have an unmedicated birth, so her education and support is what I needed to confidently face no epidural. I felt more prepared having her there. She gave my husband and I helpful tools for the day of my baby's birth. Our meetings provided me with a greater sense of security. I know birth can be unpredictable, but to know all my options and that someone was there to support me in addition to my husband was something I wouldn't trade. Her presence was a huge help in my birth story and I recommend her to anyone looking for a doula.
