Robynne has attended the last 2 of my 4 births and was an absolute Godsend. Because of back issues, I didn't want to use an epidural with my last 2 deliveries even though I had epidurals with my first 2. The only reason I was successful was because I had Robynne! When I was already in the throws of labor, Robynne walked in and immediately started doing hip presses and rubbing my back. I was filled with relief that (even though I could) I didn't have to labor alone. I had someone who understood. Because she has attended 1000+ births, she just knows what to do and can read the room. She is able to establish rapport with the medical staff easily and she becomes on asset on their team. She answers texts and phone calls quickly and I never felt like a bother. She is also very active in the Salt Lake birthing community. My husband sings her praises! As supportive as he is, he simply didn't understand how best to help me! Robynne was able to help him understand the birth process and then coached him through each birth. Hire Robynne, you won't regret it :)

I'm the daughter of a high-risk OBGYN, and grew up hearing about everything that could go horribly wrong during pregnancy and childbirth as normal dinner table conversation. Needless to say, I was a bit anxious about both. I also knew that I wanted to give birth at a hospital, and that I probably wanted an epidural (perhaps not the traditional doula clientele).
Robynne was great in both the lead up to the birth talking through preferences, support techniques, etc., and was immensely helpful while I was laboring. I'd describe her as a very supportive and calming cheerleader when you're in the worst pain of your life. My husband learned the counter pressure techniques for contraction pain, but I doubt there are many people on earth better at those than Robynne.
Before her partner took over at the hospital, it was clear that the hospital staff knew and respected Robynne, and she checked in with us afterwards.
I'd definitely recommend Robynne and Birth Learning!
