MEG IS AMAZING! We still talk months later and she made my birthing experience so much better.
This is what I wrote right after birth:
After having two not positive birth experiences I knew I needed a doula for birth, as well as postpartum. I knew with three little ones and no family I would need the support. Meg was exactly what we needed. She was there when I had questions or concerns during pregnancy, and was happy to listen to me. Her prenatal appointments were thoughtful and fun and we could tell she knows what she is doing. We loved being able to discuss everything and anything with her at our house. When I got sick with preeclampsia, she was there. She came to my induction as my sole support person. She worked hard helping my labor progress, and protecting me from any nurses who wanted me to do things their way. I was able to get up and move and make decisions for myself with her as my advocate. When the induction didn’t work, she respected my decisions and was there for me emotionally when I left the hospital. After my baby’s birth she took care of me during my postpartum appointments. She washed dishes and watched the kids and let me sleep. She talked and joked and was very kind. She sent me resources whenever I needed them. We also loved candle making. She brought everything we needed and we had a blast. I would recommend her for doula work, postpartum support, newborn care and really anything. She is kind and respectful and honest. Despite all my medical interventions, this was my best birth and it’s because of my support team.

My experience with Meg was nothing short of excellence. From beginning to end she was there for me and my family. As someone who struggles with anxiety and white coat syndrome, having that support throughout my pregnancy was critical. Meg was so understanding of my needs. When my anxiety would get the best of me she was always there with reliable factual information that always managed to calm my nervous. It is so easy to go own a rabbit hole of labor horror stories but Meg always ALWAYS kept me on the right track. When it came time to deliver my baby girl, she was there through it all. As a first time mom, my labor was 12 hours and I truly believe Meg had a lot to do with that. She massaged me through the night, used spinning baby techniques to get the baby in the best possible position, and her words were so encouraging. I never once felt scared or overwhelmed. The postpartum visits were a LIFE SAVER. She would come and cook warm delicious meals, taught me how to wear my baby, gave amazing breastfeeding advice, and I was able to nap! For anyone considering hiring a doula, Meg is the best you will find. She is passionate about her work and will make you and your family feel right at home in a realm that may not feel so familiar. This is her lifes work and it shows!

We just want to say how amazing our experience was with Megan Ruzicka at Mindful Phases Doula Work. Our birth plan did not go as expected but Meg helped us stay calm and was very supportive throughout. We are so grateful for her warm nature and kind words, and we talk about how much we adore her frequently. We feel as we made a true friend who helped us feel more comfortable in our skin as new parents. Thank you!

We had an excellent team of postpartum doulas to help take care of my baby, myself, and my 4 and 5 year old boys. Each of the 5 different doulas who came were top notch!One in particular though was literally a life saver and knew just how to handle my 2 older boys who are especially challenging!Thanks to Meg my postpartum experience was far more manageable than I ever imagined it could be!!!-Sora S
