I reached out to Katie later in my pregnancy when I realized we were struggling to find answers to all of the questions we had. Right from our first meeting I felt relief knowing that I had someone knowledgeable and experienced on my team. Katie was warm, welcoming and easy to talk to. I took comfort in knowing she was just a phone call away. I ended up having my second c-section and felt much more prepared this time. Katie stopped by afterwards with some much needed snacks (the best homemade muffins!) and was able to photograph our priceless first few moments together as a family. She came to our house a few times afterwards to provide support (like letting this mama nap!) and help us get back into the swing of things. It was honestly just nice to have someone easy to talk to. I am so thankful we had Katie as part of our pregnancy journey.

Katie was a light in our life when we needed it the most! Katie was our post-partum doula and she did an amazing job helping us navigate this whole 'new parent' thing. She not only helped us with the baby, but around the house as well. I highly recommend Katie!

Katie was a caring, attentive, and dedicated Doula. She went the extra mile for our family in many ways. She stayed long hours with me in the hospital while I was in early labor, she offered to take photos, she brought her own boom box to the hospital so i could listen to my favourite cd while labouring, she visited me and my newborn in his first days. I felt very comfortable when I was feeling vulnerable, she was a great team member, cheerleader, and protector. I highly recommend her valuable services.

We are so grateful our friend suggested we looked into getting a Doula for the birth of our first child. We found Katie on DoulaMatch and met up with her to see if we may be a good fit. Right away my husband and I felt a sense of calmness and connection with her when she was around.
We found Katie to be very knowledgeable, calming and confident to guide us. She joined us at our home where we pre laboured before heading to the hospital, then she met us at the hospital and stayed through the night for our labour. Katie gave the space to my husband for him to take the lead in areas where he felt comfortable, while focusing on supporting both of us and most specifically, guiding me with my breath. She did an excellent job communicating with my husband and I along with the nurses and doctors throughout the whole experience.
Katie is a great listener and was supportive with each decision we made, with no judgment. She came back to visit us in the hospital and even took home and laundered a few items for us which was very lovely. We have stayed in touch for postpartum check-ins and can't thank Katie enough for being such a positive addition to this amazing experience.
Our little girl was born healthy and happy and our gratitude to Katie and the Team at KGH will stay with us forever.

Hello, my name is demi. I have know Katie personally since grade 7. So it was a great pleasure to discover that she was a doula. It had been a couple of years since we last seen each other, an found this beautiful opportunity to reconnect. She is kind, gentle and was a huge help while I labored, an birthed my 4rd son. She offered a huge amount of support during my pregnancy, even when I just needed to talk. After my little guy was born she still, continued to offer support around bestfeeding and sleeping.
Not only did she give me that added love, but she was able to step back a few time an capture the moment with her photography. Helping me to save that moment forever.
Katie offers such a wide range of love, an personal understanding. You will always feel like your taking with a good friend, even if you just met her. She will talk in depth with you about what you want and don't want, during labor. Wether this is your frist or 5th pregnancy. She will discover what is best for mom an dad.
Over all, katie is open minded, kind, loving and gentle person.
