Words cannot fully do justice to the experience we had with Jennifer as our doula. Jennifer was referred to us through a close friend, so we were fortunate to already have stories of her wonderful workings with expecting moms and their support team. From the start, I felt that Jennifer was really interested in knowing how my pregnancy was going, and when I shared some physical issues I was having, she was quick to share resources and recommendations. Later when we progressed into third trimester and window of expectancy, we got so much out of both an in-person workshop with her (offered separately but highly recommend!) and then our longer "prep" meeting with her. One element of Jennifer's approach and training that is exceptional is her Body Ready Method certification. This informs her understanding of how movement can assist with both pain alleviation and labor progression. Our labor and delivery was a long and unexpected process--and Jennifer could not have been more supportive through that journey. Her framing of decisionmaking moments really helped us move through each moment building up to welcoming our daughter into the world. I believe it is this rare mix of her demeanor, training and background, and intuitive spirit that make her a TRUE healer. We are so thankful she was a part of our team and cannot recommend her enough to others.

Working with Jennifer was one the best experiences of my pregnancy and delivery. I was feeling a lot of pressure throughout the third trimester due to my age (40) and size of my baby (measured big, was big). My partner and I were very comfortable with her in our home, by our side during labor and untimely in the c-section recovery room. She helped us navigate a few potential scenarios and outcomes, never rushed our conversations and was direct while being compassionate. Building a team to support the birthing parent and partner is so important and when things got hectic or confusing, I always turned to her voice in the room.
