Debbie came into our life two days after my son was born. My goal has been to breast feed and he was having trouble latching. When I came home from the hospital I was clueless as to what to do next. My mom came across Debbie through word of mouth. The second I met her, I knew we were going to get along great. She's so full of knowledge and I enjoy just picking her brain about multiple different new mom questions. She entered my life as my lactation nurse but her education as a postpartum doula quickly became useful as I am a first time mom. My son was born three weeks early and was extremely fussy. My challenges started at breast feeding and how do I make time to pump since he was unable to latch. I started loosing hope that I was unable to breast feed because of the challenges with not having time to pump, low milk supply, and many more. But Debbie was that little bit of hope in the back of my mind cheering me on. She gave me new techniques of something wasn't working. Every single time I had a question she responded with in minutes and on so many occasions came out to my home to help me in person. After two months of trying to get my son to latch he finally began to latch and the new issue was, is he sucking? She came out to look. Then it was how do I wear these complicated wraps to put my son in so I can go about my day hands free? She came out and step by step showed me how to use it. I am so thankful that Debbie came into my life as a new mother who wants to breast feed her baby. By two months most mothers throw in the towel but it is because of Debbie that I continue to stay motivated. She has also offered her services to teach and educate my sons father the dos and don'ts with a newborn. If you are looking for an educated, professional, down to earth, caring person to help you through one of the most difficult journeys of life; Debbie is the perfect doula for you!

Debbie is absolutely fantastic! When my son was a few weeks old, I quickly realized that I needed help and support. I’m a single mom, and despite having wonderful family/ friend support, I needed more. The sleep deprivation was getting so tough to deal with, and I was looking for help. I was really hesitant about having someone in my home, especially if I were to go to sleep and leave my son with someone I didn’t know. From when I first met Debbie, I knew I found someone incredible. She is beyond caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, flexible... just overall a wonderful person and postpartum doula. My favorite part about Debbie is that I could tell she truly cared about my son and myself. She has such a wealth of knowledge. Every time she came over, I would ask her questions and she would give such wonderful information to help me. She had resources which she regularly shared with me. Debbie is extremely professional- always on time and thorough with every task. I truly do not know how I would’ve gotten through that time period without Debbie. She was so great that I ended up working with her a lot longer than I originally anticipated. Anyone who wants a wonderful human being that knows so much about babies and postpartum support (including breastfeeding), Debbie is the best choice! I know that hiring someone as a doula is a huge choice, and I feel so grateful that I came across Debbie.

Cannot sing enough praise about Debbie. When I came across her profile I thought "she seems too good to be true," but I'm thrilled to report she is indeed the real life Mary Poppins for new moms. The minute she stepped foot into our home, I instantly felt comfortable and knew she would be the perfect fit for our family. Being a new mom (to twins!) I had no idea what to expect or how to care for two humans. Knowing we had Debbie lined up once we came home from the hospital, helped relieve some stress. With Debbies endless knowledge on all things babies, along with her tips and tricks it gave me the confidence to get help me through the days. She helped with everything from breastfeeding, to soothing an upset baby to letting me shower and everything else in between. Don't think our family would have survived those early months without her!

Debbie is an incredible doula. After the birth of my second son she was my companion, helper, teacher, and confidante. Her support and guidance was absolutely invaluable, and she helped me have a "fourth trimester" filled with joy. I interviewed a handful of local postpartum doulas, and I chose Debbie based on her experience with postpartum moms as a doula and also for her lactation knowledge, as that was important to me. I'm forever grateful that she was able to take me on as a client. Debbie's care helped me have the redeeming positive, healing postpartum experience and successful breastfeeding that was lacking with my first birth, when I did not have a postpartum doula, and ended up having traumatic experiences with breastfeeding and experienced debilitating postpartum depression. The second time around, I committed to getting the support that I needed - and consider myself extremely lucky to have found Debbie. I joke that if I have another child, I'll have to move to New Jersey so that I can work with her again :-) The families there are so lucky to have her!
