An angel came into our lives in form of a Duola, called Simone. With our first baby on the way, after years of wating for a baby to come, we were so excited about meeting him. Everything was new and different for us in a foreign country, without family to support us during a risky pregnancy, Simone and her excellent human touch gave us peaceful relief. I am very grateful with Simone. She did what I needed during the labour, her accurate interventions helped me to cope with the pain. I felt safe by her side and in good hands. Thank you so much Simone for all your support ??

Simone supported my partner Brandy and I immensely as we welcomed our twins in the Summer of 2022. During my labour she was a constant source of steady, grounded, calm energy and was able to support me and my partner during an extremely tough labour and (for me) was invaluable during my c-section recovery. She was there on our first day at home with the babies, offering lactation cookies and warm, nourishing food. To this day, she is the only person we have trusted to stay with our twins (who are almost 6 months old!), because her gentleness, years of experience, and deep care for our little family put us at ease, as first time moms. Aside from the professional qualifications you would want in a doula (which Simone has all of), her personable and easeful presence, knowledge of local postpartum and parenting resources, ability to validate and reassure, her critical analysis of the systems at play in the birthing world, and her genuine, compassionate, and loving spirit make Simone the kind of person that helps to have around during those vulnerable, emotion-filled and overwhelming days after birthing. I cannot reccomend her enough. We love auntie Simone! - Shantelle, Brandy, Vida and Luca Moreno-Palmer

Simone entered our home both ready to listen and to help guide with comfortable expertise. We are a trans family and felt completely safe and comfortable in her care at all times. She helped us create a birth plan that met more needs than I knew I had! We didn't end up getting the home birth we wanted and so Simone met us at the hospital when labour had begun. She jumped in with sure hands. Her massage and steady pressure on my back helped ground me and take the edge off of contractions. She helped take charge of the room and brought a sense of calm and assuredness to my birth team, so I could focus inwards while she took care of the rest. After labour, she was beside me with a cold drink and a snack (pretty sure it was the best-tasting thing I've ever had) and somehow also hand-fed me grapes as I lay there and delivered the placenta! Her home visits after brought laughter as we recounted funny moments in the hospital. She was ready to help with anything that needed doing and we felt so totally surrounded by care and support. If I were ever to do this again (which is a hard never, sorry Mom), I would ask Simone again in a heartbeat.

Having postpartum support from Simone was a huge weight lifted from my shoulders. She was so accommodating and flexible with my changing needs as we welcomed our second child. She  provided a non-judgmental and understanding ear when needed and was intuitive in the way that she cared for my newborn, toddler, and me. Can't recommend enough!

Having a postpartum doula was one of the best decisions we made after Nolan was born. Simone was consistent and encouraging support during a very vulnerable time. She was professional, informed & reliable and cared for our new family with compassion and positivity. My mental and physical health profoundly benefited from the extra assistance. Nolan just turned one this Fall, and when I look back at those first six weeks, I remember feelings of gratitude and joy. I highly recommend Simone. Her support allowed me to experience being a new mother with less stress.

We had the pleasure of having Simone as our post-partum Doula after the birth of our third baby. She helped us get a break, tidy the house, and eat healthy home cooked meals. I even got to sew, my favourite self care activity. We had just moved to a new home a month before baby's birth, and we're struggling and isolated amidst all the transitions. Simone's grounding presence helped us feel connected and supported. Especially as I am First Nations, usually there is a community to support new families and Simone helped us navigate and thrive during baby's first weeks. She is warm, kind, compassionate, and friendly. I highly recommend her for all your doula needs!

Having Simone as our birthing Doula made my birth experience feel like everyone was well taken care of. As a first time mom it was important that not only I was taken care of but also that my partner was supported as well. Simone took care of my partner so that my partner could have all of her focus and energy on me. Simone held space for us to be fully present in the birthing experience.  Her suggestions around different birthing positions came at the right moments.  Additionally having Simone available to capture photos at the most beautiful moments during the birth was priceless. Simone comes highly recommended.
