I found Meg on a website of doulas that serve Whidbey Island. After reading every website for the doulas on the list, I bookmarked Meg because I felt she seemed open, warm, accepting, and knowledgeable. I didn't contact her right away because I was only a few months pregnant at the time. Over the following month, I talked with several friends about their birth experience and two told me how much they loved their doula. Turns out those two friends had Meg! Both friends had nothing but amazing things to say about Meg so it felt kismet, and I emailed her right away. Upon meeting her it was clear that I wanted Meg involved in my birth.  She was so soothing, respectful, understanding, and personable. Meg helped us prepare for birth and taught us all we needed to know before going into labor. Meg counseled me through decisions I had to make and helped me think through every single option. I appreciated that Meg holds NO judgement about ANY decision. She's on your team. No agenda - She shares the facts and allows you to make the decision. I am so grateful to Meg. My birth ended up taking a tough turn, and I had an emergency c-section under general anesthesia. Meg was there to meet my baby with my partner. She supported him as he worried about me and as he held our newborn for the first time. When I finally got to meet my son, Meg immediately latched him on and listened to me as I sobbed. Meg will always be a special part of our birth story. I wholeheartedly recommend Meg. She is a phenomenal doula.

I love Meg. Period. Her energy and presence during my birth was so comforting, calming, and reassuring. I couldn't ask for a better support person for my husband and I than Meg! The acupressure support helped wonders too! Meg also did a great job capturing my birth which was amazing and I still look at the photos in awe...remembering my birth experience gives me chills and an overflowing sense of happiness, love, and accomplishment. I would highly recommend Meg as a doula. Also, the placenta encapsulation that she did for me postnatal drastically improved and increased my healing. LOVE HER! Will definitely have her at my next birth. :)

Working with Meghan was a pleasure. She prepared my husband and I for the realities of labor and talked with us to understand what our 'ideal birth plan' might entail. Her experience and knowledge gave us confidence we would have never had as first time parents. Meg's support during labor delivery was amazing, she made sure that I was calm and comfortable. She had an excellent rapport with the doctors and nurses at the hospital. My baby and I are happy, healthy and we had a positive exprience because of Meghan. She has followed up with us to make sure we are feelibg confident as a family.

Meghan helped me feel empowered throughout the birth of my first child. Our first meeting was very useful for my husband and my understanding of what we had ahead of us and helped us make decisions during our hospital stay. During my labor I appreciated her calm approach and knowledge of coping techniques which were vital for my unmedicated pain management. Meghan also supported my husband and Mom throughout the birth and enhanced their experience and guided their participation in the process. I would love to have Meghan as part of my labor team for any future children and recommend her without reservations.
