My practice focuses on providing my clients with comprehensive perinatal education and support, drawing on more than 20 years of experience. The promise: My goal is to show you a clear path to creating a satisfying birth experience by developing a birth vision that prioritizes your values, beliefs, and preferences, using the inner strengths and intuition you likely already possess, evidence-based practices, and my guidance. My areas of specialty include working with women over 35, high risk diagnosis, and desiring a VBAC. After using my birth training to advocate, volunteer, and lead in the maternal and child health field, I returned to my birth roots to provide one-on-one support to the women and families that need me the most. I have been involved with childbearing families since 2000, as a childbirth educator, doula and wellness educator. Over the years, I have educated and supported hundreds of women and their families through programs, workshops and partnering with non-profits. Fee Details

I work with families covered by the Walmart medical plan and NYS Medicaid, including Managed Care. I believe every family should have access to the doula of their choice, which is why I also offer virtual doula services that provide emotional, informational, and social support for both you and your support person. If you're experiencing significant financial hardship, I will do my best to refer you to a qualified doula when possible.

There are no words to express how thankful I am for everything Tamara did for us. She was amazing. It didn't occur to me that I wanted a doula until I was 38 weeks pregnant. A friend's midwife recommended Tamara, and just from our first phone call, I could sense that Tamara has a great energy about her. We had an appointment to meet up on a Monday, but I went into labor the Friday before that. Even though we had but a couple of phone calls, and had never met in person, Tamara came in and provided exactly what I needed, when I needed it. I had a very long labor, and Tamara was right there by my side for it all to make me comfortable both in body and mind. I will cherish my birth experience and how much better it was because she was there. Even though things didn't go exactly according to my birth plan, I don't regret anything. I feel like I made the right decisions at the time, and Tamara's guidance is a huge part of why I'm able to feel that way. It is 100% without hesitation that I would recommend Tamara as a doula to any of my friends.
