Auntie Ying worked in my home for 40 days, and I feel especially lucky to have met such an amazing postpartum nanny. Auntie Ying knows a great deal of professional, science-based infant care knowledge. She is good at observing a baby’s condition and quickly determining and meeting the baby’s needs. At first, my baby lost too much birth weight, and the pediatrician was somewhat concerned. She was also a high-needs baby who could not be away from people and had some gas and bloating. Auntie held the baby day and night, burped her, did gas-relief exercises, fed probiotics, used all kinds of methods to soothe her to sleep, and adjusted the baby’s feeding and schedule. Under her attentive care, the baby grew very quickly and soon caught up with the growth curve. Auntie especially loves children. She often talked and interacted with the baby, and the baby also seemed amazingly able to understand what Auntie was saying and often responded. Whenever the baby cried, whether day or night, Auntie would appear by her side within three seconds. Auntie also gave me many very good suggestions for breastfeeding, helped me adjust the feeding pattern to meet the baby’s changing needs at each stage, and at the same time ensured that I could rest. Auntie is an excellent cook. Every day she made a variety of nutritious dishes, cooked postpartum drinks, and thanks to Auntie’s care, I recovered quickly after giving birth and my milk supply was also maintained. Auntie is especially hardworking. While caring for the baby, she also fit in all kinds of housework, cleaning the rooms, doing laundry and folding clothes, washing bottles and breast-pump parts, and after cleaning she would put everything back in place for me. Before leaving the job, Auntie also made an entire freezer drawer full of dumplings and cleaned the whole home thoroughly, so that our transition period could be a little easier. In addition, Auntie’s work attitude is very professional. In our daily communication, she focused on the baby and postpartum mother’s care, never asked about our personal matters, did not take photos of our home or baby, and kept detailed records of the baby’s eating, drinking, pooping, and sleeping, sending them to me regularly. I felt very comfortable getting along with Auntie and trusted her very much. When my friends and relatives came to see the baby and saw Auntie working in our home, they all praised her highly and asked me for her contact information.
