I had originally been determined to breastfeed, but because my own situation made it more difficult, 4–5 nurses and lactation consultants at the hospital tried to help, and after all that, the baby still couldn’t latch onto the nipple. Then on the very day we were discharged and got home, Auntie Wan arrived, finished her personal hygiene routine, and immediately took over. In just a few minutes, she got the baby to successfully drink breast milk! Now the baby is 20 days old and already works super well with mom, and can latch smoothly without Auntie’s help. I’m truly so grateful. • Childcare expert: Auntie is extremely professional in caring for the baby. Every day she washes the baby’s face, cleans the baby’s bottom, does baby exercises, gas-relief exercises, shows black-and-white cards, and does hearing training. She is also very skilled in caring for jaundice, burping, and gas. Under her care, the baby has never had diaper rash or any body rashes, and is smiling happily every day. • God-tier cooking: Auntie’s cooking is basically restaurant quality! I normally don’t eat breakfast, but every day she came up with different dishes (braised lion’s head meatballs, roujiamo, egg pancakes), and even handmade pork floss bread and pumpkin bread were no challenge for her. Before she left, she thoughtfully made a big batch of dumplings, wontons, and scallion pancakes and stuffed the freezer full, worried that we’d be too busy taking care of the baby to have time to cook afterward. Auntie Wan helped our whole family get through a very pleasant and professional postpartum month, and we highly recommend her to expectant parents who are looking for a postpartum nanny!
