Meiqiong Hou (侯美琼)

Hou Ayi was with us for 60 days and was a great help to me. From day one I could tell she was very experienced in childcare, but she also respected my preferences when we had differences of opinion, such as how to dress the baby and if/when to supplement with formula. She was a champ when the baby had trouble sleeping and was very helpful when I had to be away for two days in a row to attend a funeral. She is a solid cook and made lots of herbal soups, broths, and teas. My favorite dishes were all the vegetables dishes which were cooked and seasoned well. I definitely never went hungry or thirsty. Sometimes her dishes were a little salty for my taste but she was receptive to feedback and adjusted. And a lot of her desserts/snacks were not my favorite but I still ate them anyway. (She took the pics of the food but I can confirm she cooked all of these for me.) The other feedback I had for her was on thorough handwashing and dishwashing. We tend to be clean freaks so we were particularly sensitive to that. Also, make sure to get on the same page on gratuity expectations while IIsigning the agreement. But overall, I would recommend Hou Ayi.

想了很久还是决定把侯在我家服务27天的经历写下来： 侯应该是老油条打工人，基本的事情是会做（拍嗝，喂奶，餐食等），但是相处几天后能感觉到她没有喜欢孩子，一举一动就是打工，把事情做完，孩子哭闹的哄都是没有情绪，例如塞奶嘴，拍嗝动作一成不变等； 侯基本上没有时间管理的能力，白天的时间（除了午睡2小时外）基本都需要别人帮忙带孩子，侯白天忙着做饭忙着洗奶瓶忙着洗衣服，做每件事情都挺慢，做别的事情就会让我们看着孩子，上个厕所都会消失五分钟以上，她自己说的只是小便，我不明白为什么需要五分钟，洗澡需要半小时，我觉得如果不需要雇主看孩子，能找到空档处理个人问题，花多久都是你的自由，但是每天都要用同样的理由让雇主暂时看孩子，就是没有时间管理能力的表现 因为时间管理的原因，很多事情做不到，侯达不到我对月嫂的期待 （侯是我请的第三个月嫂，我的期待是正常的），我把月嫂工资降为育儿嫂的工资，侯干活就更拖沓了。 你可能想问就这样为什么我还请了27天，首要原因是侯煲的汤是不错，做的饭菜也合口味，我提出要求的时候她的态度也算好，没有梗着脖子说自己的对的臭毛病，我抱着得过且过的心态觉得换一个还要磨合，育儿嫂工资就也凑合吧 最后决定让侯走时因为我的宝宝不涨体重，喝奶越来越少，这里我宝宝的确不是个天使宝宝，和医生一起想办法，我让侯做排气操做运动，她都是很走程序的做，很敷衍的态度，哭了就不做，也不会哄娃然后继续做运动，我刚开始觉得宝宝也有问题，但一周过去了宝宝体重依然没有涨，这就是侯的问题了。我问过她有什么意见，她回答我应该多吃饭，不长个是因为我不吃饭，奶的营养低 （这里我是奶牛体质，奶水是足够的）。我听到这个回答真的觉得她对不涨个的宝宝是没有经验的，也没有耐心好好喂奶。 最后提出一点怀疑，我们家觉得侯手脚不干净，至少拿走了七条干海参和小半包顶级陈皮，我没有搜箱子，并没有人赃俱获，所以我只能用怀疑这个字眼，侯走后我们甚至发现指甲钳也不见了 （侯没有带指甲钳，一直在借用我家的指甲钳）。

推荐信 亲爱的侯阿姨： 首先，我们全家人对你这35天来，不分昼夜、无微不至的辛勤劳动，衷心地说一声＂谢谢＂！ 我们有缘在宝妈生育大宝的时候和您共度了一段愉快的时间。从此，我们对您为宝宝犹如亲人般的付出，有了深刻而难忘的印象！ 我们的二宝，这次当然要请您来照顾喽……宝妈早早的电联，并和您签了合同。整个月子里，您悉心照料，科学调理，白天黑夜用心至极！宝妈奶水充足的不得了！奶水质量特别高！所以，宝宝每次去看医生，大夫都夸说长得真好！宝宝从出生的20%多，各项指标都追赶到了70%多！这，都是来自您的付出呀，阿姨！ 与此同时，您还烧得一手好菜，炖的一锅好汤水！就连我们的大宝，也跟着沾了不少光，吃的香，汤水喝的不亦乐乎。体重也长了，身高也长了！说真的阿姨，我们真舍不得你走呀…… 分别之际，让我们全家和宝宝对您再次道声＂谢谢＂！我们的缘，山高，水长…… 宝妈：Mei 2025年8月23日

Hou Yee was a great night nurse for our infant, toddler and family. She knows a lot about Chinese medicinal herbs and how to make soup. We ordered from Wee every other day and she cooked three meals for our family of 4. She took good care of the baby and we never had to worry. If you like Cantonese food, and want someone knowledgeable to take care of your family and baby, she's great. Would recommend.
