A Taiwanese old princess. We just let her go at the beginning of the month. She was a Taiwanese nanny who basically came to freeload and travel. All day long she only cared about which restaurants were good and where was fun to go. Since my two kids go to daycare Monday through Friday, I actually didn’t mind if she went out during the day. Her main job was just to handle the kids’ two meals and teach them some Chinese. But this princess wouldn’t even take an Uber by herself when she wanted to go out—she always wanted me or my husband to take her. Even for grocery shopping, she wanted us to take her (even though she can drive). Every time she ate, she wanted the good stuff—scallops, sea bass—she would just open and cook everything without asking, then afterward tell me there was none left. And the kids didn’t even like eating that. To make me think the kids were eating it, she fried fish, fried scallops, and fried chicken for them every day, and used an insane amount of seasoning. The seasonings she used up were more than what would have taken me over half a year to finish... Even braising eggs, she used up two spice packets. Most importantly, this old princess complained about everything. When we went out and stayed at an Airbnb, she complained that it wasn’t clean and that a hotel was better. When we went out, she pushed the stroller and kept complaining that we were walking too much, and in the end my husband had to push it for her. Every day she talked about how great and smart her daughter was (her daughter studies here), and how her classmates all drive Teslas and live in mansions. It felt like she was implying that we didn’t have a Tesla or a mansion for her. Even more ridiculous, she only came here to work for 40 days, and one weekend she said she wanted to take leave to go to Chicago with her daughter. My kids are in school on weekdays, and only on weekends are they home and need someone. She took a weekend off to go have fun 😨😨😨 So on weekdays when there was nothing to do at home, I still had to pay her 😩😩😩😩
