I meet with my birth clients in person for two prenatal sessions before birth to get to know each other and discuss birth preferences, am on-call for labor support from 37 weeks until the birth of your baby, and schedule at least one postpartum visit to check in on how everyone is transitioning at home. Folks looking to book postpartum support without birth doula services can choose to schedule a prenatal visit to discuss postpartum planning as well!

From the initial consult with McKenna we knew she would be a wonderful fit for our family.McKenna made it clear how intentional she was in building a strong relationship and understanding for our goals, questions, hopes, and fears around the birth and postpartum experience. She was a gentle and supportive guide throughout the whole process. Her involvement was invaluable during our labor and postpartum for both myself and my wife. There were many reasons we prioritized having a doula; especially as a queer couple in a primarily cis/hetero space of a hospital (even with a supportive medical team) we would want another layer of advocacy so we could focus on each other and our baby. McKenna’s presence gave us such peace of mind and comfort. We’re forever grateful to have her as part of this transformative experience of becoming parents and welcoming our daughter into the world.

I am so thrilled that we chose McKenna as our birth and postpartum doula. Her prenatal meetings helped me navigate my birth preferences and make me feel calm and prepared as a first time mom. At the birth, her support was absolutely incredible. I'm not sure what we would have done without her! She guided me into good positions for laboring that I believe really helped things progress. She was calm and encouraging all the way through, and I felt so well taken care of! She made sure that I got to see my placenta before they took it out of the room, which was one of my requests. After the birth, McKenna checked in on us postpartum in the early days, and my husband and I used her postpartum hours to get out of the house on our own for a few date nights. We felt at ease that our baby was in great hands with her.

My family and I are very greatful for having McKenna as our birth doula! We didn't meet until I was in labor, but that didn't  change they way she provided care and support. As soon as she got to my home she was hands on helping me get through my contractions and was always giving words of encouragement. If you are looking for a doula you can 100% count on and that will do anything in their hands to help you and get there before baby, this is the doula for you! Highly recommend her services.

Where do I start, having McKenna as our doula was great. I was initially on the fence of having a doula, but I'm so glad I decided on the extra support. My first induction experience was a bit traumatic and my anxiety was really high after finding out I was pregnant again. McKenna always answered my questions with no judgement and was reassuring through my pregnancy and the induction process.  I would highly recommend her to anyone who may be thinking about having a doula support them with pregnancy and or postpartum.

I have seen Mckenna's work first and second hand and I am always beyond impressed with her comprehensive knowledge, nurturing personality, and respect she gives her clients. I have learned so much from watching her care directly for her clients. She knows ALL the tips and tricks for common birth and newborn challenges and she explains them to you in a non judgementsl in depth way that makes you feel empowered to then utilize those skills on your own. I would (and do!) recommend Mckenna to EVERYONE I know. One of Seattle's best.

McKenna is a great full spectrum doula that is very supportive and flexible! Highly recommend! When my husband and I found out we were pregnant with our second, we knew we wanted a little more support. Luckily, we met McKenna who offered both birth and postpartum doula services. I was especially grateful to have her help with navigating logistics for our toddler and dogs as most of our family lives abroad. McKenna provided me with reassurance and immediate doula assistance when my pregnancy turned into an unplanned homebirth (there was not enough time to get to the hospital or even get through the UW Medicine phone tree!).  Thanks to McKenna, I had a wonderful, healthy, and very positive birth experience. She also helped ease my stress during postpartum by helping out with my family so my husband and I could catch up on (much needed) sleep.

McKenna was such a blessing during our transition to parenthood. Her presence during my c section helped keep me and my husband relaxed and prepared. She made sure we were both getting our needs met before, during and after the procedure. We couldn't be more appreciative of all her help during the postpartum period. She made sure chores were done, food was prepped, and baby was happy so we could nap, shower, and get outside. She also shared so much of her knowledge with us and taught us how to swaddle and give our baby his first bath. We gained so much confidence because of all McKenna's support and we are so happy to recommend her.

McKenna was a fabulous doula. I had been searching for Doula not very long before I gave birth. I decided last minute that I would like to work with one for my second pregnancy. She was very attentive to my needs, and understood exactly where I was coming from with my vision for my birth plan. She was personable, kind, knowledgeable, and showed up exactly on time for when I went to the hospital. She provided a lot of emotional support during the laboring process, as well as helped me get through the contractions by having me try a few different methods to help ease the pain. My favorite was when she massaged my back and hips! She is passionate about what she does and dedicated to her job. I recommend her for anyone looking. I already left for their Pregnancy.

Expecting our first child, my husband and I knew hiring a doula would be extremely helpful for us as we navigated the new world of labor and delivery. Being pregnant can be complicated and daunting at times, let alone planning for a delivery and navigating the medical world that surrounds it. As we started looking for and interviewing different doulas, there was an immediate connection with McKenna. Over the phone on our first call, I was put at peace and felt like I was talking and confiding in an old friend. During our preparation for labor, she validated my concerns and questions, regardless of how big or silly they were. She constantly was working to meet me where I was and provide support in an individualistic and specific way. In every interaction, she was upbeat and friendly, making it easy to connect with and rely on her. During my delivery, McKenna was a soothing presence and was there to support in all ways, even if it was to just hand me my water or adjust a pillow. She was adaptable to the situation and made sure to check in with me constantly to ensure I felt supproted and had what I needed. Her interaction with the hospital staff, nurses and midwife was both professional and kind, leaving a great impression with all those she interacted with. I would recommend McKenna to anyone needing a calming presence and supportive friend during your pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum. She brought great knowledge and experience and ensured she provided benefical information while still allowing myself and I to make the best decision for us in each moment.

If we describe McKenna in three words: helpful, experienced, and flexible. McKenna cared for our newborn child 2-3 times per week for 16 weeks as a night doula and sometimes during the day. She was very caring and handled the baby with confidence and expertise from day one. She listened to our preferences, considered them, and improved them with her knowledge. When we asked, she gave us beneficial advice on how to care for our baby and ourselves. Whenever McKenna stayed over to care for our baby, we could rest and relax. Every morning McKenna shared with us a summary of our baby's behavior and events during the night. She also helped with light housekeeping whenever the baby's sleeping situation allowed her to. We appreciate this help very much! Our baby liked her; he was so calm with her! In fact, among the four people we have hired to care for the baby, she was the best by far. McKenna is very likable: friendly, and calm, and we enjoyed our chats. Overall, McKenna's service was a great experience. We are very grateful to her for her work and help and unreservedly recommend her.

Mckenna is wonderful! She worked with us to welcome our daughter for both daytime and nighttime support. She also came to our rescue after our contracted time during a stretch of particularly sleepless nights. She is knowledgable, kind, intuitive, gentle, and truly has a gift with babies. She cares deeply about the families she works with and eased our transition into parenthood. My husband and I were able to be more present, better rested, and felt supported in those blurry first few weeks because of her. We would absolutely recommend her— we didn't want our time with her to end!

McKenna was our postpartum night doula for 6 weeks. She was so incredibly wonderful to work with and really saved our postpartum experience. The doula we orginally were going to work with was injured and had to back out of caring for us 2 days before my scheduled c-section. I got in touch with Mckenna and she was so responsive and accommodating. We had a quick phone call and then she took time to come meet my husband and me the day before our birth and we set up a care plan together. She immediately helped to alleviate the stress we were feeling having to find new care in such a short amount of time.McKenna is incredibly calming, intuitive, reliable, flexible and truly cares about the babies and families she works with. McKenna took such wonderful care of our daughter and shared helpful reports on how she was doing. We felt at ease to get some really good sleep knowing our little one was in such solid hands. I wholeheartedly recommend working with McKenna, you and your family will feel more rested and more present for all the changes welcoming a new little one brings.

I would 100% recommend McKenna for doula services. She offered incredible support throughout my pregnancy as well as labor and delivery. During my pregnancy, McKenna provided my spouse and I with resources. Sometimes these were in response to a direct question we had, other times she anticipated our needs which was incredibly helpful for our first child. She was always readily available and eager to help. McKenna was by our side through my difficult labor and delivery, prioritized the health of myself and baby, and always remained kind and respectful. We are now pregnant with our second child and look forward to McKenna being a part of our team once again.

We had a wonderful experience working with McKenna as a postpartum doula, and our daughter Kaia did too! McKenna was there for us from one of our very first nights home from the hospital, when everything was scary and hard and I was having a rough time feeling confident as a new mom. She was such a calming, supportive, sanity-saving presence during those early nights. When we were trying to figure out nursing, McKenna would sweetly bring Kaia to me throughout the night and make small talk by my bedside to distract and keep me company. I think I would’ve felt much more alone without her support. I could also tell she had a really good read on what I needed, and would’ve left me alone if that was preferred. McKenna was patient and intuitive like this throughout the three months we worked together. My husband and I especially appreciated that she would share her observations and proactively volunteer to try new things with Kaia to help support her development, such as helping her sleep with her arms out of the swaddle even if it meant a more difficult night. Logistically, McKenna was extremely reliable and as flexible as possible (always respecting commitments to other clients) when we needed to make schedule changes. She mostly worked nights with us, but I would recommend her to any family for day or night work (and companionship :).

Although McKenna was not present for the birth of my premature son or my twins she was there to help care for them as infants.  She has such a calming presence about her that she helped me through the first several months of having a preemie and again when I gave birth to twins. She was never rattled by caring for such small babies (all of my children were in the 5 pound range) and she was always calm and reassuring to this new mom.  She watched the infant(s) while I slept or caught up on household tasks and was very knowledgeable about breast feeding, bottle and tube feeding, and all things postpartum.  I would highly recommend McKenna for the birth of your child, I can not speak highly enough about her!

We had a wonderful experience working with McKenna! Being new parents we were extremely overwhelmed after bringing home our newborn. After a month of sleep deprivation, McKenna came to the rescue and provided nighttime support for us a couple of days a week. She was a lifesaver during those early months, allowing us to get some much-needed rest and took amazing care of our baby. We knew he was in great hands with her! We really couldn't have made it through the first few months without her support and are forever grateful! We would highly recommend working with her to anyone!
