I had a wonderful birth experience with Mika as my doula. As a first time mom planning a homebirth, I knew having a doula was a good idea, but I really didn't know what I wanted or needed out of one. Mika was very flexible and during labor adapted quickly to my changing needs. I ended up wanting counter pressure for nearly every single contraction and she was there for me! She helped me emotionally when I felt I couldn't continue on, or when I doubted that I was doing a good job progressing. She also was invaluable to my husband, helping him know how to help me. Overall I can say I 100% would not have been able to have my homebirth without her support! She is professional and personable. I highly reccomend her services to anyone looking for birth support.

There aren't enough words that describe how awesome Mika is. Mika attended my third son's birth (first homebirth) in November 2020. Not only does she help with things like pain control and getting snacks, she is very attentive and also helps create a calm environment to birth in. She is able to jump into action when needed and also knows just when to be still and lift up a prayer. I had read about what a doula does but having experienced it firsthand I can say she is top notch and goes above and beyond for her moms-to-be and their family. If I had to go back and do it again I would most definitely have Mika attend my birth again!

Mika was my doula during the birth of my son almost 3 years ago, however I remember those special moments like they were yesterday. She helped me visualize the birth experience I desired and gave me the affirmations I needed that empowered me to labor and birth without fear, medications or unwanted interventions. I was hesitant to give birth in a hospital setting for personal reasons but having Mika as my doula and advocate gave my husband and I peace of mind knowing she had my best interests and intentions in mind. I'm so thankful for her labor and birth support-physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Mika was so wonderful to have as a part of our birth team! I truly can't imagine our experience without her. During my pregnancy Mika offered great support and suggestions to help me with my comfort, excercises, and things to help opitmize baby's positition. She listened well and truly cared about making sure I was not just physically equipped for giving birth but also mentally and emotionally. As a first time mom, when the big day came I never realized how much of a value Mika would be to us! She helped both my husband and I stay calm and focused during labor and was always one step ahead of what I needed. Quick to assist with another cool towel, hip squeeze, or words of encouragement, Mika was the perfect support. I'm so thankful to God for connecting us to Mika who felt like the perfect fit to help bring our son into the world. I cannot recommend her enough!

Where do I begin? Mika was there for me from my anxious thoughts towards the end of my pregnancy all the way through postpartum issues I was having and everywhere in between. She came to my house when I was in prodromal labor and gave me the most relaxing massage and the encouragement that I needed. When the day came for me to get a natural induction she met me at the birth center. She spoke to multiple hotel employees to try and get a discount for us so that I could labor somewhere comfortable. She was very sensitive to my feelings throughout labor as to what I wanted and needed, liked and didn't like. She had great knowledge of different things that I could try to get the baby in a good position and I believe a few of the things she did closer to my pushing phase actually positioned my baby much better. She also provided counter pressure during pushing which took me from a 10 pain level to around a 7. She did that with each contraction! I honestly cannot recommend Mika enough. If I could go back I would want her at all three of my births. She is a calming encouraging and loving presence that I think any one would appreciate at their birth. And like I said before not only that but she provides great information before and after baby comes as well. She has so much to offer as a mom of two herself. I will forever be grateful that I had her by my side throughout the birth of my son.
