We were truly very lucky to meet a postpartum nanny like her during my confinement period. I would give her a five-star review without hesitation, and I would also recommend her to other families in need.
As first-time parents, what we are most grateful for is her rich experience, professional knowledge, and patience and love for the baby. She was responsible for taking care of the baby’s daily life, including feeding, changing diapers, bathing, nighttime care, soothing, and interacting and playing with the baby. She also helped us establish good feeding habits, assisted the baby in gradually increasing milk intake, and taught us how to help the baby burp, pass gas, and relieve spit-up and gastroesophageal reflux issues.
She also taught us many very practical newborn care techniques, such as using a hair dryer to warm the baby after a bath, how to fold the diaper to avoid rubbing the umbilical cord, the correct way to swaddle, and helping the baby smoothly adapt to direct breastfeeding. These experiences made us more confident as first-time parents and benefited us a great deal.
For me, she was also very important support during my postpartum recovery. She prepared three nutritionally balanced confinement meals and lactation-promoting drinks every day, helped me recover physically, and patiently guided me with breastfeeding, helping me increase my milk supply and making my breastfeeding process much smoother.
In addition to caring for the baby, she also proactively handled washing bottles and breast pump parts, washing the baby’s clothes, organizing the nursery, buying groceries, and cooking. She was very proactive in her work and could always notice in advance what needed to be taken care of, so we did not have to worry. At the same time, she also patiently guided my husband and me on how to care for the baby, and we learned a lot during this month.
There were no communication issues at all. I speak some Chinese, and my husband is American, and she was able to communicate smoothly with both of us, making our time together very relaxed and pleasant. She is cheerful, optimistic, kind, and easy to get along with, and having her live in our home for a month felt very comfortable.
Looking back on the first month after our baby was born, having her companionship and help made our transition into first-time parenthood much easier and reduced a lot of anxiety and stress. We sincerely thank her for her care, professionalism, and dedication during this time. If we have the opportunity in the future, we will definitely invite her again, and we truly recommend her to all families who are looking for an excellent postpartum nanny.
