Rachel is a DONA trained Birth Doula, who is new to the Doula world, but not new to supporting families. She’s been a Marriage and Family Therapist since 2010 and has worked in supporting people and families since 2004. Her work providing therapy for couples combined with the birth of her own children helped develop her passion for helping pregnant people and families going through the transition of adding babies to their lives.

Having Rachel on our team for the birth of our daughter was such a gift! For first time parents, Rachel provided us with helpful knowledge and tools to navigate pregnancy, labor/birth and postpartum. More than just her knowledge and experience, who Rachel is as a person brought comfort and calm to the entire process. Our baby came five weeks early and aspects of our birth experience did not go as we imagined, but Rachel was there to help guide us through it. She kept us grounded and was such a source of encouragement. Rachel was amazing at providing support to both me and my husband as we experienced so many firsts. If you are considering Rachel as your doula...DO IT! Her support through your pregnancy was unmatched. If there are more kids in the future we know who we are calling!

A week later and it's still nearly impossible to describe how grateful we are for Rachel. My husband and I are firm believers that every single person on our birth team was a God send, and Rachel is no exception. She has the warmest most supportive personality and after ONE virtual meeting with her, we knew she was exactly who we needed. From day one, to our labor that spanned a few days, to our last visit, Rachel showed up for us in ways we didn't even know we would need her. Rachel is the epitome of a steadfast and selfless human, never leaving us feeling alone; regardless of how uncertain our birth became and despite countless hours of cheering us on in a state of pure exhaustion. Not only did Rachel help coach us through one of the hardest couple days of our lives, but she supported our family as they dealt with their own emotions and captured photos and videos of the biggest moment of our lives. We will forever cherish the memories she captured and the bond we created with her. If you're looking for a doula who can do it all and will give everything she has to you, look no further! We love you Rachel, you will forever hold a special place in our hearts!

Rachel played an integral role in our birth experience. Without her support and knowledge we would have had a much more difficult labor and delivery. She took the time to get to know us in the meetings prior to delivering and was in tune with our needs while in the hospital. Rachel also helped create a peaceful environment in the delivery room. I highly recommend her for her doula services!

Rachel was an incredible doula! She has a very fun personality and is very intentional, helpful, and thoughtful. She met with my husband and I twice before the birth of our daughter and also offered a postpartum visit. We really appreciated the time she spent to understand our previous birth experiance and what was important for us this time around. During the birth, she was very supportive both mentally and physically. My husband and I both really loved having her as a part of our birth story. I would highly recommend Rachel!

Rachel was very helpful before, during, and after the birth of our daughter. She is skilled, knowledgeable, and personable. She came to our house to share some tips/techniques before our daughter was born and was a calming presence during the labor. Very happy to have her as our doula!

I cannot say enough good things about Rachel. There was no way I could have been as present as I was for my wife during her labor if Rachel wasn't there. She helped coach and soothe both of us through the entire process. Even before the birth, when we were interviewing doula's, she was the only one who asked me (the father) my opinion/thoughts/worries. Neither of the other two doula's did that. Initially I was skeptical, for lack of a better term, about hiring a doula and I am so glad we found Rachel. 10/10 would recommend.

Rachel was an absolutely magnificent Doula for our first grandson! She was able to turn a potentially scary birth experience into an amazing one. My daughter had a high-risk pregnancy, and we were very nervous about how her birth was going to go. We needn't have worried. Rachel was there from the middle of our daughter's pregnancy, through the delivery and afterward. She was constantly offering support and kindness and knowledge that made this experience just beautiful. She even came to the baby shower! Her advice and wisdom helped our daughter get through an extremely difficult pregnancy and long induction and delivery. She came to the hospital and turned a sterile environment into a welcoming place with beautiful music and scents that calmed our laboring daughter, helping her through the contractions and preparing her to safely deliver our beautiful grandson. She was so warm and caring while also being professional and knowledgeable. She worked beautifully with the OB team of doctors and nurses and made the birth a glorious experience. I am SO grateful for Rachel's help. I wish she would have been there 25 years ago when I was having babies!

Rachel has a true passion for being a doula, and an honest love for helping bring babies into the world! Rachel was our doula for our second child. With our first, we went into the delivery room with very little knowledge or preparation for what was about to happen. Let me tell you that is not the way to go. After slow dilation and constant contractions, I was eager and willing to accept the epidural and pitocin, and anything else that would help ease the pain and make progress with the birth. The result: a greater-than 24 hour laboring process with constant medical intervention; it felt like my delivery happened to me. It felt like I was not in control at all for this life-changing and significant event. I wanted to make sure that my next birth did not happen the same way. This is when we recruited Rachel to assist with my goal of delivering without medical interventions, i.e. no epidural, no pitocin. Rachel met with us multiple times before we were due to establish a plan for overcoming any obstacles that might prevent that from happening. She explained how each step, no matter how hard it may be, was a step toward bringing the baby into this world. She gave us numerous body positions to help ease the pain of contractions or help move the baby to a better position if needed. With a solid plan in place, she met us at our house around 9pm once the contractions began to get closer, we labored at home for a few hours, then through the night with us at the hospital until our girl was born at 5am. Through the laboring process, she kept all of us on track, reminding me of the breathing/thought exercises we had practiced at home, and making sure my husband got much needed breaks. Her voice reminding me I was strong enough powered me through! Rachel's joy to be part of our birth was beyond evident. We are so grateful for Rachel's help and highly recommend her!
