Stephanie is an absolute wealth of knowledge. Although I didn't get the benefit from her support during my child birth (planned c-section), she spent many hours before and after the delivery listening to my concerns and giving me incredible advise. My biggest fear was my ability to breastfeed my baby. Without judgement she shared her experiences, knowledge and an abundance of peer reviewed literature to calm my anxieties. I am forever grateful for all the time she took with me and know that it made such a difference! Thank you Stephanie

Stephanie is an incredible doula who is super supportive, caring, timely, and will go the extra mile to provide the best support! She even took photos of our birth experience and took my placenta to be encapsulated as well as did a little placenta artwork piece in paper. We are so grateful for her and for her amazing support! I highly recommend her!

Steph was amazing and supportive every step of the way. She came to our home to help us establish our birth values and make sure we generally understood what things would end up looking like.
Once the big day came, Steph was there to support my wife (most importantly) and myself over the long induction and labour process. When things went a little sideways and there were midwives, doctors and nurses asking us questions and giving us information, she encouraged us to slow down a touch and ask questions to make sure we understood the situation.
While she wasn't able to come with us into the operating room for the emergency c-section, she helped us focus on what we needed to do while packing up the room and even helping add more money to the parking meter!
I wouldn't hesitate to call Steph again when it comes time for our next little one.

I was unsure about whether I wanted to hire a doula for my birth but after meeting Stephanie, my partner and I were sold. Her calm, knowledgable, caring and funny personality were a perfect fit for us.
Steph was an invaluable support during an unexpected induction - providing reassurance and suggesting questions we might ask in a situation we hadn't prepared for. She went above and beyond to support us and take care of surrounding details so that we could fully focus on labour and delivery. Postpartum, Steph was an amazing resource and provided an immense amount of comfort and wisdom.
I am so glad that Steph was part of our birth experience and I would whole heartedly recommend her to anyone searching for a doula.

As soon as we met Steph for our initial consultation we knew she was the doula for us. We'd met a few before her but she stood out from the rest and something just clicked. I've always been afraid of childbirth and worried about whether I would be able to cope with the pain, but Steph made us feel totally at ease and I knew that with her by my side I could accomplish anything. On the big day she brought out my inner warrior and kept me calm and focused, even through the complications and surprises. Thanks to her amazing support I was able to have a natural un-medicated birth and the whole experience was overwhelmingly positive and empowering. I can't wait to do it all again! We had the best possible start to parenthood and words cannot describe how grateful we are for everything Steph has done for us. I highly recommend her to anybody having a baby, whether it's your first or fourth, her support is invaluable.

We couldn't imagine going through our birth experience without Stephanie. She went above and beyond our expectations in so many ways.
As first time parents, the knowledge, care and support Stephanie provided us was incredible. She is warm, personable and very passionate about what she does.
I can't stress enough that, not only, was she a great support to my wife, she was also a huge support to me.
Having Stephanie with us before, during and after our sons birth made the life-changing experience of having our first child a much more calm and positive one than it would have been without her.

Steph was an incredibly positive presence at both of my births. The smile never left her face, even as tears of joy fell as she held my boys. When I think back to those two magical days, I think of Steph and her dedication, warmth and calm demeanour and how she helped me bring these two lives into existence. I love her so much, and you will too. Her passion for the whole process and her dedication to your birth plan are truly inspiring. Any woman (and partner) would be so lucky to experience her birth with Stephanie Penner at their side.
