Wilder Jude's birth was everything we dreamed about & hoped for and was the best day of our lives. Michael and I spent the months leading up to baby's arrival meeting with Jolynn and building an incredible trust & bond with her. Jolynn gave us all the tools we needed for the big day, and more importantly she provided the encouragement and love we needed to feel confident and courageous. We set an intention for a speedy natural birth and that is exactly what we achieved! Jolynn's positivity and strong "you can absolutely do this" attitude were just what Michael and I needed when things got intense. She is calm and strong, organized and patient, a loving listener and a committed voice. During our mad dash to the hospital she was an incredible guide and coach to Michael and to me, very soothing and never once let us become frantic or panicky. Wilder's birth happened very quickly and Jolynn remembered every detail of what we'd discussed months earlier and did not let us miss and thing! I am still in awe and in love with every detail & memory of that day.
We can honestly say that our birth would not have been such a beautiful, smooth, and perfect experience had it not been for Jolynn. We are incredibly grateful to her for being our guide, our mentor, and our friend.

During our meetings Jolynn encouraged my husband and I to educate ourselves more about all of the choices that come along with labor. She gave examples of natural ways to help get baby ready, some we tried & others we didn’t: bragging point of her, she gives you many resources & tools but never pushes you to try them. I really appreciate her for that. I woke up at 4am & thought either my water broke or baby was pushing against my bladder. We were in constant communication with Jolynn that day as we all thought I may be in early labor. Jolynn gave us factual information regarding water breaking & any risks associated with it. Contractions weren't consistent yet so we chose to wait til the next morning to go the hospital. I forgot to mention the night prior we spent a few hours with Jolynn using pressure points & other natural induction methods to help get my contractions going. Without Jolynn we don't know what would've happened. We may not have had as much insight on our own feelings related to the birth process & we may not have made our own choices. Yes the water breaking wasn't "planned" but we were able to make our own decisions with NO regrets, thanks to Jolynn. We were able to spend the first 28 hours of labor at home, relaxed & at peace. I had a full night's rest in my own bed knowing it would be my last night of sleep before becoming a mother. Jolynn is a sweetheart with an optimistic outlook. If we ever have another baby we will definitely use Jolynn’s services again. With so many unsolicited opinions about how your birth should be I strongly recommend hiring Jolynn as your Doula. She will give you research based, factual information & let you decide what’s best for you, never hinting at her own opinion. As my husband says "her Doula services are worth her weight in gold". What an amazing experience we had & we only wish the same for every mother (and father)!

We hired Jolynn Lewis as our doula and cannot say enough amazing things about her! She attended our home birth at The Farm and was an essential part of our birthing team. The visits with her during the pregnancy were empowering. We always felt like she listened extremely well and gave us ways to prepare for the birth that worked for us. Postpartum, she's been wonderful about checking in and even brought us lunch to do a debrief about our birthing experience. I've been seeing her for massage and energy work as well and I have to say that she is the BEST massage therapist I've ever worked with. She may be petite, but she has a powerful, healing hands! We would recommend Jolynn to anyone looking for a connected birth experience.
