"We have been very happy with Xia Mei and the care she has provided for our son. She has been with our family from when he was 8 months old through 12 months, which was such an important period of growth and development, and she has been wonderful throughout. Xia Mei is very caring, joyful, and responsible. She pays close attention to his needs and is especially conscientious about safety and cleanliness. She is also someone who takes initiative when she notices a potential issue. For example, when our son was teething, he would often bite on the protective foam pads we had around the house. Xia Mei was concerned that he might bite pieces off and ingest them, so she actually hand-sewed fabric covers over the foam to make them safer. It was a small thing, but it really showed us how attentive she is and how seriously she takes his safety. She has also been wonderful at supporting his development and milestones. She is very engaged with him throughout the day and encourages him to explore, learn, and develop new skills. We have really appreciated having someone who is so attentive to both his day-to-day needs and his overall development. Xia Mei is also very responsive to us as parents. If we have a particular request or preference, she is always accommodating and respectful of what we want. At the same time, she has a lot of experience and has given us helpful advice and suggestions when she thinks something might work well for our son. I really appreciate that she shares her perspective without being pushy — she always respects our decisions and ultimately follows our wishes as parents. Beyond being a great nanny, Xia Mei is a genuinely lovely person to have in the home. She has a warm and joyful personality, communicates very well, and has been easy and pleasant to live with. Since she has been part of our household every day, this has been very important to us. We have really enjoyed having her around. Most importantly, I have been very pleased with the way she treats our son. She is affectionate, attentive, patient, and genuinely cares about him.
